Navigating the building permit application process within the various building departments and planning & zoning offices can be arduous. We realize many residential construction projects do not engage the services of a structural engineer during the planning and design phase due to the past experience of the contractors and designers. However, we also understand the Owner's scope occasionally creeps and sometimes unforeseen existing conditions are discovered during construction that complicates the project plan.
During our history, we have been involved in many different types of construction project types, sizes, and situations. The photos below provide a quick glimpse of our experience and capability. Our experience also includes a wide range of other facility management issues and situations involving other design disciplines. This experience focuses our attention with every problem or situation towards solution options that will minimize impact on other trades, while preserving the overall design intent as much as possible.
The bottom line is we appreciate and will certainly rely on your field experience when reviewing and considering potential solutions options with you. Compliance with the building code, satisfying the building department requirements, and getting the issue in the rear view mirror is our collective goal.
We typically try to do appointments during lunch time (depending on location), late afternoons/early evenings, or Saturday mornings.
